Usually, I would suggest against any such device for your iPod. But with great marketing on part of iStik, or rather great advertisement photos, I might change my mind. iStik has offered consumers their new magnetic cases for the iPod Nano. It is very easy to oeprate and attach. All you have to do is just stick the iPod Nano in the case and put the other magnetic piece on the other side of the clothing and WA LA….your iPod Nano sticks to you. As of the moment, iStik cases only come for the iPod Nano, but they said they are working on developing other cases for the othe iPods and the iPhone. A release date and price tag has yet to be announced. But for now, enjoy the great product photos.

Here is a deal to beat all deals (so far): the Apple Store is selling refurbished 8GB 3rd-gen iPod Nanos, in all the assorted colors, for only $99 shipped. In addition to the price cut on refurbished 8GB iPod Nanos, the Apple Store is also selling refurbished 4GB 3rd-gen iPod Nanos for only $79 shipped. Check out this article I found by Devin Coldewey from CrunchGear regarding the ongoing war between the iPod and Zune.

Microsoft’s preemptive strike against Apple yesterday may not have the star power of the Stevenote (Jack Johnson?), but it did make the Zune even more competitive. As of this moment, the li’l Zune and iPod Nano have the same capacities and same pricing. So unless you’re already committed to buying one or the other, you may want to look at their capabilities before dropping those bills. Chart to follow.

new ipod nano

A photo of what appears to be the new taller iPod Nano was seenon endgadget recently. It looks like the rumors of a taller zune-like 4th generation iPod Nano are true. The new iPod Nano is said to be the reason for the Apple event to be held in San Francisco tomorrow. The image also shows the iPod Nano with a more vibrant color compared to the paler and blander iPod Nano. Looks like we’ll have to wait for the Apple Event to find out if this is the real deal.

With Apple’s “Let’s Rock” event coming into full effect tomorrow, more news has been leaked about the next generation iPod Nanos. A new iPod Nano case from Jivo has been leaked. Again, this news just confirms some speculation that tomorrow’s will be the day that Apple unveils the 4th generation iPod Nano to the public.

As in other news, there are rumors that retails stores have been pulling their iPod Touches off store shelves per instructions from Apple Inc. Apparently, Apple does not want any retail stores to be selling the iPod Touch. What does that mean? Only time can tell. Stay tuned as more information comes our way.

More news regarding the fourth-generation iPod Nano and the next iPod Touch have surfaced. Although we are unable to determine if these drawings are accurate or even real, we just took it for what it is. Despite the drawings, we have learned that the fourth-generation iPod Nano will go back to the same frame of the second-generation iPod Nano. The new iPod Nano, although, will be slimmed down from the 2nd-gen’s 6.5mm to a new 6.05mm thickness. The iPod Touch will get more curvy just like its iPhone 3G brother, but at the same time the thickness increases from 8.0mm to 8.4mm. As far as the earphone jack is concerned, sorry folks, the jack looks to remain at the base of the iPod Touch. Remember to check back as more information comes our way.

muso

Direct Voxx has created a voice control device called the Muso which lets you control your iPod nano with just the sound of your voice. You can play certain tracks, scan a playlist and pause just by speaking a few voice commands. This would come in handy when driving or if your hands aren’t fee at the moment. Its battery is rated at ten hours without using any juice from the iPod. At $159 for the system it’s a bit pricey but it may be worth it for the safety it brings while focusing on the road.
