palringo app

Sending picture messages via MMS is just as popular as sending a text, yet it’s funny that the innovative iPhone isn’t able to do this. That’s where the new app Palringo comes in to help. Palringo links with many popular IM services, such as AIM, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger and others, and allows you to send text and picture messages from your iPhone. It does this fee without depleting your SMS limit. Palringo is working on getting voice messages up and running for the iPhone very soon too. This isn’t a replacement for SMS messaging however, as it goes though your instant messaging network and you must be logged in to use it. It does come in handy and is a useful little app that makes it a lot easier to send images on your iPhone.

iphone crack

New iPhone 3G users on the MacRumors and ehmac forums seem to be having a problem with their new iPhone 3G’s cases cracking. More reports have been reported and photos of cracked cases posted online. So far it has been only noticed on the white 3G iPhones, if it’s because of poor design and inferior plastic or the fact that black hides the cracks better is not yet known. No official word from Apple has been released, if you have a cracked iPhone we suggest you take it your nearest Apple store ASAP and have them replaced. Hopefully this isn’t a widespread problem, if so Apple is going to have a lot of unhappy customers.

iphone line

With all the demand for the iPhone and shortages that expected to last another month Apple has extended their store hours and are opening at the earlier time of 8 a.m. Monday to Saturdays. Apple employees are also handing out tickets to customers waiting in line when the store opens, the tickets are redeemable for the select iPhone the customer is waiting for. The best part is that the customer can leave the line and go about their day once they get their ticket. Yes some people work for a living unlike some Apple fanatics who camp outside Apple Stores for days. Also, after you get your ticket you can use that free time to do the paper work and credit check before buying your new iPhone to help make things more efficient.

It’s good to see Apple is taking charge and making the process easier for its customers, not getting an iPhone won’t be such a headache.

Brando iPhone 3G Replacement Screen

Brando iPhone 3G Replacement Screen

One of the big surprises to come out of the iPhone 3G was that the LCD touch screen is now user replaceable. This means for those of you whom may end up dropping your phone, there is hopes of redeeming your shattered screen.

This prospect is now even more attainable due to Brando’s recent announcement that they will begin selling replacement LCD screens specifically for the iPhone 3G. These screens sell for $85, and require some DIY skills, but it sure is better than paying Apple big bucks for a brand new phone. You can check out the Brando Store here.

voice dial iphone app

The former jailbreak app Voice Dial for the iPhone is now available on the App Store. Voice Dial allows you to record voice samples for your contacts in your address book then bring up that contact with just the sound of your voice. You can also activate Voice Dial by using the two-press home button method or set up a tag to activate it. At $25 Voice Dial isn’t a cheap app, and there’s sure to be similar apps available pretty soon for less than Voice Dial but at the moment Voice Dial is a pretty good voice dialing application that comes in handy when you really need it. -Ray [Source: gizmodo ]

zune guy

The Zune guy has finally done it, he bought an iPod classic 80GB! The Zune guy who got three Zune related tattoos then decided to cover them up has said he is no longer a Zune fan and has now turned to Apple.

And low and behold, it’s a black iPod classic 80gb. When I was in Best Buy I looked around at the other players, and they sold no Creatives in the store, so the only choices were iPods, Zunes, Insignas, Samsung and Sony. So when looking at which had everything available in store (I despise UPS) I went with the iPod. I more than likely will regret this decision but I will let you all know down the road. I do like the weight and feel of the device thus far.

Is he going to cover up his Zune tat with the likeness of Steve Jobs? Stay tuned to find out!
